Women’s Rights

Women’s Rights refer to the legal, social, and cultural entitlements claimed for women and girls, aimed at achieving equality and fairness in various aspects of life. These rights encompass a range of issues, including but not limited to the right to vote, work, education, and healthcare; protection against discrimination, violence, and harassment; and the right to make decisions regarding one’s own body and family. Women’s rights also address economic inequalities and advocate for equal pay, reproductive rights, and access to opportunities. The movement for women’s rights seeks to challenge and change systemic barriers and discriminatory practices that perpetuate gender inequality, promoting social change towards gender justice and gender equity. Historically, the fight for women’s rights has been rooted in feminist movements and is interconnected with broader human rights issues.
